Botoutofhell

Bot Out Of Hell was an unusual looking robot that competed in Series 5 of Robot Wars. It was entered by Martyn Sloss, the original team captain of Team Torque, and his immediate family. Bot Out Of Hell was designed to resemble a skeleton riding a motorbike, with the front wheel of the motorbike being a large vertical spinning disc. It also had an engine that came from a microlight airplane; this meant it could reach a high speed of 20mph. The robot also had a gaping ground clearance and no srimech. This, and the fact that its disc failed to work, was its undoing in its only battle.

Its name was a pun on the Meat Loaf song, Bat Out of Hell, and it was nicknamed "Metal Oaf".

Robot History[]

In Heat D of the Fifth Wars, Bot Out Of Hell faced Reactor 2 in the first round. Bot Out Of Hell looked fast and agile initially in this battle, although its spinning disc weapon wasn't working at all after activate was sounded. In the end though, all of its aggression counted for nothing as its left wheel drove up the wedge of Reactor 2, and the 'flamp' of Reactor 2 tipped Bot Out Of Hell over onto its side. Bot Out Of Hell didn't have a srimech, so it was left in that position, it was soon counted out by Refbot and eliminated from the competition.
