Vector of Armageddon was the first machine Adam Clark entered into Robot Wars. It was a wide, grey robot with a very upright wedge front. It fought in the First Wars, and as a featherweight category robot, it was entered into the Featherweight Heat. It used the same speed controller as bomb-disposal robots. Its name and design were based on the successful American robot Wedge of Doom, which won the featherweight title in the original US Robot Wars in 1996 and 1997. Vector of Armageddon was not as successful, however, going out in the Gauntlet stage.
Robot History Edit
In the Gauntlet stage of the Heat, Vector of Armageddon started well, getting over the see-saw without much trouble. However, the ramp beyond it was too steep for Vector of Armageddon and it became stuck, being unable to free itself. Because of this, cease was called, with Vector of Armageddon having covered a distance of 8.55m.
Although this would normally be a respectable distance to put a robot through to the next round, it was placed sixth overall on the leaderboard at the end of the round, and was subsequently eliminated from the competition.
